Join us for our annual summer showcase! This year we present Dashavatar: the Evolution; an Odissi dance program framing human evolution through the lens of ancient mythic imagery. Inspired by Dashavatar—Vishnu’s ten legendary incarnations on earth—this performance explores the surprising echoes between traditional fables and modern inquiries into our collective past.
The program moves from the natural world toward human life in unexpected ways, blending classical Odissi movement with abstract, contemporary visuals. It is a unique exploration of how familiar stories parallel biological and social milestones, spotlighting creative voices and ideas from our emerging artists.
