DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Saturday\, June 29th for our 31st annual s
 howcase\, a new production called Trini Sutra.\n\n\n\nWe will begin with
  a short presentation of Poets of the Bengali Renaissance by our younges
 t students\, followed by a section of Pallavi in Time by renowned contem
 porary and Odissi choreographer Raka Maitra\n\n\n\nWe're excited to give
  our dancers the opportunity to learn from Maitra in an intensive settin
 g\, where they will gain and then share with audiences a different persp
 ective on Odissi. Finally\, we will present our newest work\, in which w
 e explore non-masculine manifestations of the sacred trinity of preserva
 tion\, destruction\, and creation. Elements of this trinity have long su
 pplied major themes in classical Indian dance\, but in Trini Sutra\, we 
 will highlight feminine facets and stories of Vishnu\, Mahesh\, and Brah
 ma that are seen less often on stage yet have always been in the lore. W
